Starting from the 14th of February 2024, The Bali Provincial Government will apply a mandatory tourism tax for foreign tourists. In adherence to Law Number 15 of 2023 of the Province of Bali. International tourists who intend to visit Bali must pay a foreign tourist fee of IDR 150,000 Per person, the price before the processing fee. The fee is to be paid before entering the international airport and seaport in Bali. The entry fee will be used to conserve Balis nature so that it remains clean, sustainable, and comfortable for all. The Use of the Bali Tourist Tax: There are several purposes and benefits of the levy for foreign tourists coming to Bali, one of which is for development in Bali, protecting and promoting Bali, including customs, cultural traditions, and local wisdom. In addition, to maintains Bali's spiritual aura and protects the overall beauty of nature. Here are some of the uses of the Bali Tourist Tax 1. Preserving HeritageThe New Bali Tourist Tax is used to preserve heritage, such as protecting Balinese customs, traditions, arts, and local wisdom. Bali Tourist Tax also ensures the cultural preservation of the island of Bali. 2. Nurturing Nature The payment of this levy is a form of tourist contribution to the preservation of Bali's unique culture and natural environment so it is expected that destinations in Bali will be more beautiful. 3. Elevating the Tourist Experience Preserved heritage and nature will improve the quality of Bali's tourism services and management, allowing tourists to adventure and explore Bali safely and enjoyably. How to use this Levy Voucher: Enter mandatory personal information, such as passport number, name, email address, and arrival date. After successful payment, tourists will get a levy voucher, in the form of a QR code. The levy voucher will also be sent to your email, make sure the email entered in the personal information filling is valid and active. The officer will scan the QR code at the arrival airport in Bali. Exemptions If you fall into one of the following categories, will be exempt from the requirement to pay the new tourism tax on arrival in Bali, simply by showing your card to the officer on arrival: Diplomatic and official visa holders. Conveyance crew (ship workers). KITAS / KITAP holders. Student and family unification visa holders. If you have one of the following visas, you will need to apply for an exemption. According to Bali Governor Regulation No. 36 of 2023, the request must be submitted at least one month before the arrival date. The verification and decision-making process is expected to take a maximum of five working days, and the applicant will be notified of the approval or rejection of their request through the app.

- Do note that the tourism tax is non-refundable and non-transferable. - The validity to use the QR code is valid for 60 days from the purchase date. - You cannot arrive in Bali earlier than the date specified when you make a payment you can arrive up to 60 days later. - Remember, Singaporeans and other ASEAN nationals dont need a VoA (but will need to pay the IDR 150,000 tourism tax).
